Betty L. (Collins) Kellum

KELLUM Betty L., age 86, of Fairfield passed away at home surrounded by her family on September 26, 2017. She was born on November 22, 1930 in Cokeotto, Ohio to Henry T. and Laura L. (nee Kelly) Collins. On March 26, 1949 she married William Kellum; he preceded her in death on July 10, 1986.

Betty was a Real Estate Broker; she worked for West Shell for 22 years, and Huff Realty until her retirement. She was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ, Four Seasons Garden Club, Fairfield Kiwanis, and the Red Hatter’s.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Cynthia Schwarm, William (Cynthia) Kellum, Richard (Anna) Kellum, Timothy (Penny) Kellum, and Colleen (Scott) Pertile; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Darrell “Jake” (Barbara) Collins, brother in law, Tom Barnes; sister in law, Jewel Collins; many nieces, nephews, friends; and her Yorkie, Maxie.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Bob Collins; sister, Anita Barnes; son in law, Gary Schwarm; nephews, Robin and Patrick Collins; and her dogs, Molly and Megan.

Visitation will be Friday September 29, 2017 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield 45014. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flats.
