Carl Eugene Mink

Carl Eugene Mink, age 44, of Hanover Township passed away on May 21, 2017. Everyone who met Carl couldn't help but to like him. With his sleeve tattoos, rad race car (built and rebuilt by hand alongside his son, Carl Anthony), and affinity for piercings, those who didn't know him and were only judging the book by its cover would be surprised at what a kind-hearted, generous soul he was.

Four Facts About Carl
1. Ever the man's man, you'd still find him taking charge of all of the pigtails and ponytails his two daughters, Shelby and Adrianna, grew up sporting. He also was the family colorist, spending many a weekend bleaching and dying hair for his kids, his wife, and other family members.

2. If cars are the name, Carl's in the game. NASCAR, drag racing, go carting, and working on his race car were a few of his favorite things. However, for all that he loved the adrenaline rush, he was petrified of heights!

3. If you never had a steak grilled for you by Carl, you've missed out. He was quite the talented chef on the grill.

4. He loved his wife, his kids, his extended family, and his life - living each day to the fullest with them. Every family has their troubles, but somehow, Carl always managed to make it out on the other side of them - each and every time - with positivity and a smile.

Carl will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Jamey (Emmerling) Mink, his son, Carl A. Mink and his wife, Emma (Oliver) Mink, his daughters Shelby and Adrianna Mink, and a grandson on the way, Colton Mink. He is also survived by his mother and father, Gladys and Wilbert Mink, his sisters Connie (Mink) Tankersly and her husband, Chris, and Angela (Mink) Jones and her husband, Jeremy. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Sky Sloderbeck, numerous nieces and nephews, and a biological sister, Tara Saladyga. 

Visitation is Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 6-8 PM at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH, 45014. Funeral service will be Friday, May 26, 2017, at Avance, and will begin at 11 AM. Condolences may be offered at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
