Jean Stuart MacCracken

MacCracken, Jean Stuart

Age 82, passed away September 13, 2017 at Hospice of Hamilton.  He was born June 1, 1935 in Peabody, MA, the son of Stuart and Emilda (Maillet) MacCracken.  Jean graduated from Peabody High School in 1952 and Industrial Technical School in 1953.  He was a US Army Veteran:  US Army, SP-5, 1953-1956; US Army Reserve, 1961; Germany 1954-1956 (WWII German Occupation).  On June 21, 1957, Jean married Bertha E. Parker in Peabody, MA, who later preceded him in death on December 26, 2016.  He worked for General Electric for 1956-1993 in Field Service Aviation in numerous countries around the world. Jean was a Lifetime Member of the VFW and GE Elfun Society.  He was a dedicated man and patriot.

Mr. MacCracken leaves behind his loving family:  children, Laurie Jean Dudley, J. S. MacCracken, Scott P. MacCracken, Tammy M. Zeller; siblings, Stuart John MacCracken and Sandra Ann Austin; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife. 

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until prayers and blessing (12:30 p.m.), Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH   45014 with Father Larry Tharp, Celebrant.  Burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be offered at www.avancefuneralhome.com
