Joyce Ann (Unkefer) Scott

Joyce Ann (nee Unkefer) – age 77 of Fairfield passed away on Saturday, May 06, 2017.  Joyce was born April 6, 1940 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Lowell and Marjorie Unkefer (nee Betz).  On June 4, 1959 she married her husband of 57 years, Henry James Scott.  She is survived by her husband Henry; her son Eric Scott and daughters Anita Scott and Laurie (Jeff) Santel; step-daughters Margaret (Richard) Cole, Kathy (Joe) Rippl and Vicki (Mark) Goodson; brother Ed (Cindy) Unkefer and sisters Norma Unkefer, Juanita (Donald) Foltz and Mary (Lanny) Angus; grandchildren Lauren (Matt), Kirsten, Kevin, Victoria, Maria, Zachary and Sarah; great-granddaughter Hayden; very special friend Cathy Wrenn; also survived by numerous family, friends, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Henry L. Scott. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Fairfield Fire Department, Joyce’s amazing caregivers Amanda, Stephanie, Cassidy and Carly and everyone at Grace Hospice for their excellent care.    Visitation will be Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, 45014 from 11AM – 1PM.  Funeral service to begin at 1PM with Charles Anderson officiating.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association.  Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.avancefuneralhome.com
