I knew Juanita since coming to teach in the old Seven Mile building. She was school secretary, a job she held there, as well as later when the new Edgewood school was opened. As many of us often said: "She ran the school," and I found that 100% accurate. She helped me more times than I could ever count. When I had a problem with a knee, she offered to let me borrow a cane which had once belonged to her husband. Other times, her assistance came when I was having difficulty in navigating the often - confusing paths of educating the next generation. What success I had in pursuit of my goals in that area I owed much to Juanita. She was a good friend, and everyone who knew her will feel the loss for a long time. Knowing she is no longer with us will affect our lives as long as we remain on this earth.

Juanita was a warm, capable and loving person who pulled all of us into her family. I give thanks for her life and for her many years of service. My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your Mother and Grandmother.
