Lonnie A. Stover

Lonnie A. age 50, loving husband of Christina (Kahsar), amazingly awesome dad to Noah and Ellie, devoted son to Morgan and Nancy Stover, brother of Marsha (Wade) McQueen, son in law of Kenneth and Rosemary Kahsar, brother in law to Kim (Dilip) Sippy and Jenny (Steve) Bessette, uncle to Wade and Morgan McQueen, Jared, Nicholas and Ryan Sippy and Damien and Raven Bessette.  Lonnie has been a music educator in Ohio for 27 years, teaching in Forest Hills, Brooklyn, Field and Sycamore School districts.  He has spent the last 19 years teaching band to hundreds of Sycamore students and loving every minute of it and most recently was the district music supervisor.  An accomplished musician, arranger and composer who has written many pieces for his bands, he conducted several honor bands in Ohio.  Lonnie lived life to the fullest, traveling around the country with his family in their beloved RV (GusBus).  He particularly enjoyed the time spent at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach and Fort Wilderness Campground at Walt Disney World.  He was an avid fisherman and firearm enthusiast.  Lonnie was the consummate do it yourselfer.  Beyond all of this though, Lonnie’s greatest pride was the success of his children whom he happily told anyone about. 

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH   45014.  Funeral services will be 12 Noon, Friday with Pastor Rudy Allen officiating at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lonnie Stover Education Fund, at Fifth Third Bank for the betterment his children in their pursuit of education and music...All of Lonnie's passions!
