John Mason Sisler

John Mason Sisler of Seven Mile, Ohio passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

Mason was born to John and Nina (Migdal) Sisler on January 30, 1951 in Akron, Ohio. He lived his early years in the small community of Manchester, Ohio. After college, Mason entered the electric field and worked for Ohio Edison (Ohio), Tri-State Generation and Transmission (Colorado) and United Power (Colorado).

Mason married Donna on September 15, 2001 and together they lived in beautiful Colorado until 2021. Mason enjoyed many activities while living in Colorado. Photography, woodworking, cooking, good food and baseball. He loved his two dogs, Bonkers and Lady, but his greatest joy was family and especially grandchildren.

Mason and Donna moved to Seven Mile, Ohio in 2021. They purchased a home built in 1850 with a large fenced in yard for their beloved Lady. Mason was able to have his dream woodwork shop and created beautiful pieces for those he loved. Due to his failing health, he was not able to enjoy his creative haven as much as he wanted.

Mason was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nina (Migdal) Sisler; sister, Cindy (Sisler) Robertson; mother-in-law, Betty (Richardson) Howard; and grandson, Archer Storm.

Mason is survived by his wife of 22 years, Donna; children, Philip Fairchild, Candace Fairchild (Ian Crow), Bethany (Fairchild) Storm (Nathan), Melissa Sisler, and Michal (Sisler) Reed (Joshua); grandchildren, Gavin Storm, Percy Storm, Leslieanna Storm, Liam Fairchild, Weston Reed and Marlee Reed; brother-in-law, Rob Roberton; father-in-law, Barton (Pamela) Howard; family and friends too numerous to mention whom Mason loved and loved Mason deeply.

Visitation will be held on March 10, 2024 at 4:00 pm, a Celebration of Life service beginning at 4:30 pm and a reception to follow at Ohio Living Llanfair Chapel, 1701 Llanfair Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45224.
