Barbara Jane (Symmonds) Tietsort

Barbara Jane, age 69, of West Chester passed away on April 12, 2017.  She was born on May 16, 1947 in Cincinnati to Eugene and Cecilia Symmonds.  Barbara was a professor at the University of Cincinnati for 31 years; she taught Business Office Administration.

She  is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, David; much loved children,  Matt (Angie) Tietsort, Debbie (Tom) Hagedorn,  and Jeff Tietsort; grandchildren, Alex, Noah, Sam, Danny, Diana, Zach, Tori, and Bethany.  Barbara is also survived by her siblings, Eugene Symmonds Jr., Michelle Cantrell, and Rebecca Chandler; and nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, John Symmonds and James Symmonds.

The family will receive friends and family from 10 a.m.-12 pm. A Memorial Service will be held on April 22, 2017 at 12 p.m. with Rev. Michael Doerr officiating at Mount Healthy Christian Church, 7717 Harrison Ave., Mt. Healthy 45231.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be offered to Camp Christian, 10299 Maple Dell Rd., Marysville, Ohio 43040.
