TIERNAN, Cleo I.

Age 97 of Somerville, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Woodland Country Manor.  She was born February 9, 1920 in Bear Wallow, KY, the daughter of Leonard and Bessie (Hurley) Moore.  On June 3, 1944, Cleo married Paul L. Tiernan in Hamilton.  She worked for the Hamilton City Schools until her retirement, and was a member of The First Baptist Church in Hamilton.  Other affiliations include:  Senior Citizens of Hamilton / Partners in Prime; Daughters of Ruth; and Matthew 23.

Cleo leaves behind her son, Michael (Valorie) Tiernan; granddaughter; Erin Tiernan-Waters (Jeff); and sister, Sylvia Brown.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband; beloved grandson, Evan Tiernan; siblings, Glenn Moore, Victor Hurley, Thelma Habib, Gladys Moore, and Josephine Hall.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. – until time of service (12 Noon), Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.  Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton.  Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Hamilton.
