Curtis Robert "Bob" Burns passed away at 48 from a sudden illness on Oct.19th, 2018. Bob graduated from Hamilton High School in 1989 and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Desert Storm as a chemical engineer. He was the lead singer and song writer for his band "Big In Iowa". He was head of social media for the Transportation Security Administration.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Locke Burns; two lovely daughters, Hannah Ryleigh Burns and Heidi Rowan Burns; mother, Brenda Burns Kurtz (John); father, Larry Burns (Mary Ellen), mother-in-law, Gail Locke; brother-in-law, Steven Locke; stepbrothers Jeff Kurtz (Laura), Mark Kurtz; and stepsister Patricia Jones (Jeff), and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father-in law, Bobby Locke.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, 45014. A celebration of his life will begin at 1 p.m.
Bob will be missed by many people.
