Cynthia "Cindy" Jo Duke – age 63 of Fairfield passed away Saturday morning, October 19, 2019. She was born October 20, 1955 in Fairfield, Ohio, to the late Lewis and Verle Duke. After graduating from Fairfield High School, Cindy enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving 5 years. She then moved to Olympia, WA where she spent over 25 years. Cindy worked as an RN and enjoyed kayaking, hiking, camping, crochet and reading. Cindy is survived by her sisters Pamela (Charles) Campbell and Loretta Eisenhower; brother Lewis (Melissa) Duke II; nieces Sandra (Mike) Huffman and Brittany Nesbitt; nephews Scott Campbell and Chris (Emily) Eisenhower; great-nieces Lily Eisenhower, Skylar Huffman and Cora Nesbitt; and last but not least, her beloved dog, Toby. She will be missed by all.
Cindy's family would like to thank all those that cared for her in Washington, especially Pamela Pool, Sarah Baker, Wanda Traufer, Robin Landon and Cathy Garcia. They would also like to thank the staff at Providence Hospital, Fairfield Place and The Jewish Hospital.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 4-6 PM at Avance Funeral Home. A memorial service for her immediate family members will be held at a future date, yet to be determined, then our beloved Cindy will join her parents who are laid to rest at Crown Hill Memorial in Cincinnati, Ohio.
