RITCHIE
Delmer, age 87, departed for his heavenly home on Friday July 19, 2019 in his home surrounded by family. Delmer was born on March 29th 1932 to the late Ed and Claudia Ritchie in Breathitt County, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charlie and Curt, and sisters Wanda and Nora. Delmer proudly served his country during the Korean War in the 1st Cavalry Division Artillery of the United States Army. He retired from the Kroger Company as a truck driver after 36 years of employment. Delmer is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Myrtle Fay Ritchie; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Cindy Ritchie; son, Sean Ritchie; daughter, Melissa Ritchie; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Erin Ritchie and Chris Lidel; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Sean and Jill Ritchie; granddaughter, Jenna Ritchie; great grandchildren, Caeleigh Lidel, Declan Lidel, Mara Ritchie, and David Ritchie. Delmer loved camping, boating, spending time at the beach, bluegrass, deer hunting, black coffee, pleasant conversation, and arguments. He was a generous man with both his time and money to family and friends alike. He would love nothing more than to be remembered as a devoted Husband, Father and Christian man. There will be a celebration of his life at Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Road Fairfield, Ohio 45014 on Friday, July 26, 2019.
