Recently became aware of his passing. I attended Walnut Hills with him in the graduating class of 1966. A fine person and always pleasant. God bless his family.

Sandy, I'm so sorry for your loss.
It helps to remember and get you through each day the good times and laughs that you
shared.

Elvin was a great professor who I looked up to and considered a strong mentor. He was always professional and sharp, and also caring. He helped me with my Senior Design project, even though he wasn't my project advisor.
I ran into Elvin many years after graduation and he remembered my name - I was quite flattered by that. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach a few part time classes for Elvin and even interview for a full time position with him. What a great experience that was.
My condolences to your family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Heaven got a good one April 21. As a student at UC (OCAS) from 1982-1986, Mr Stepp was inspirational to all of us in his classes. Such deep knowledge in electronics. I fondly remember him telling us about this R&D at Cincinnati Electronics during his summer breaks. So very technical he was, much of which rubbed off on me as I aspired to emulate his thought leadership on very technical concepts. Loved you Mr Stepp.

We are so sorry to hear of your father's passing. Not knowing him well we could feel the love that went in to the updates during his illness. Fathers are never replaced and I know you will think of him daily as we should when dads leave us. Blessings and prayers for peace and comfort for the family as you go through this trying time.

You are loved,
Denny and Sharon

Sandy, it has been so many years since we saw or spoke to each other, however I remember well attending your wedding. I am so sorry to read about your husband's passing. I know exactly what you must be feeling as my husband passed away a little over 2 years ago. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. If you ever want to talk, please contact me.

I hired Elvin as a part-time instructor at UC and it didn't take long to realize how witty and smart he was. The first chance we had, we hired him full time. Elvin was very successful at the University being Department Head and becoming a Full Professor.
More important than my professional connection was my personal connection as a friend of Elvin, Sandy and family.
You will be greatly missed and treasured as a colleague and great friend.

What a remarkable human being this man was!! So funny, so smart, and so kind. He endured many slumber parties with me at his house. He listened to me and Karen giggle, play our music, and play Doctor MARIO all night long. What a trooper!!!
I will never forget the many car rides with him while listening to his jams. His favorite jam at that time, and one I have always considered HIS song: Life Is a Highway. EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear that song I think of Elvin.
I will never forget the amazing trips to Rochester, New York, Niagra Falls, and Anaheim, CA (Disneyland). So much fun!!! Precious, once-in-a-lifetime memories!!!
This man has given me one of the greatest gifts I have EVER received: his daughter, Karen. She is one of those friends that is simply irreplaceable in life. We have been through so much together. I am grateful that he and Sandy made the choice to visit Lindenwald United Methodist Church so many years ago. Because of that decision, my life was totally changed for the better. Had they never visited when Karen and I were in fifth grade, we'd have never met! I don't even want to think about that.
To the family: many hugs to EACH of you. I am so sorry for this loss. I know it is a HUGE loss. He was like none other. His shoes were big and they will be hard to fill now that he is gone. I will be there Tuesday to celebrate and honor Elvin's remarkable life. Love each of you so much!!!
