Fast Freddy Eugene Willsey

WILLSEY

“Fast Freddy” Eugene, age 87, of Fairfield passed away on November 3, 2018. He was born on September 8, 1931 in Seven Mile, to the late Carl and Cecilia Willsey. Fred was a manager for Farm Bureau, Landmark, and Harvest Land for 44 years. After Fred and Joan retired, they worked with their sons Mike and Ken with the Fairfield Youth Baseball Association.

Fred married his beloved wife Joan on December 19, 1953, she preceded him in death on April 25, 2017. He is survived by his devoted children, Michael (Cathey Pritchard) Willsey, Chris (Gregg) Bruewer, and Ken E. Willsey; grandchildren, Derek Willsey, Ryan (Courtney) Fontaine, Andy Fontaine, Alayna (Terrell Cummings) Fontaine, Kayla Fontaine, and Bryan Willsey; great grandchildren, Garrett, Cayden, Crosley, Cole, and Ellie. Fred is also survived by his sister, Marge Willsey Finley and Mary Haygood; dear friends, Ken and Vickie Fightmaster, Jim and Ann Jewart, Delbert and Lucy Apple; and many wonderful neighbors. Special thanks to Ed and Joann Roberts. There are so many wonderful people that he loved and touched his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Bill Willsey, and his brother in law, Edward Walters. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield 45014. The burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
