Herb was one of the first mentors I had in my engineering career. His patience and intellect help me through many challenges I came across. I will remember Herb for his quiet yet funny sense of humor. Truly a great mind and personality I am glad to have known.

A lot will be said about Herb's sharp intelect, dedication and commitment to science of gas turbines. Though, I want to focus on his personal, kind, and almost avuncular trait that he showed towards young engineers at GE and at CDI. Generous with his knowledge, he always helped anyone who sought his help. Our prayers are with his family.

My association with Herb was at CDI Corporation. A quiet, intelligent man at peace with himself. I will miss him. My prayers for his family members for the strength to cope with their loss.

So sorry to hear of Herb's passing. I worked with him at GE and TK engineering and always found him to be a pleasant person to be around.

I cannot say enough about what a privilege it was to be neighbors of the Demel family. I moved next door when I w as newly married and I am so thankful how they embraced us and then came to love our growing family. Their example of family life and love of life has been an inspiration to this day. Herbert was an amazing man and will be remembered always with love and admiration.

Herb always had that quiet smile and understanding. That I will miss.. I will always remember his face, how when I saw it, it was like a shining star... Herb...I know you.... When coming out of the depths of that low blood sugar at TriHealth Wellness group. Arlette, I will keep you, and your family, in my prayers. God has his plans......I just wish I understood them better. God Bless
