James B. Nieman

NIEMAN

James B., age 86, of Middletown, formerly of Forest Park, passed away on October 2, 2017. Jim was born on May 21, 1931 in Cincinnati to Paul and Hester Nieman. On August 18, 1951 he married Shirley King in Lawrenceburg, IN. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley; loving children, James (Pamela) Nieman, Glenn (Lynda) Nieman, and Jennifer (Shawn) Crews; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Jeane Vinson; and his sister in law, Lois Whitfield. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul Nieman Jr.

Jim is a veteran of the Navy, serving from 1950-1954 and he served the community of Forest Park from 1967-1972 as a police officer; he became Chief of Police until his retirement in 1986.

Visitation will be Friday October 6, 2017 from 11a.m.-12 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, 45014. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
