Jason Scott Murphy

Jason Murphy, age 42 of Fairfield, was called to his eternal resting place suddenly on September 9, 2017.  He entered this world on July 18, 1975 in Cincinnati, OH, born to William E. and Nancy C. (Scott).  Jason was employed at CME Sewer Repair as a field superintendent.  Previously he had been employed at Halpin Plumbing for 18 years and they were like family to him.  Jason loved spending his time cooking, grilling, watching football and basketball and spending time with friends and family.  Jason never met a stranger.  He loved people.  On November 15th, 1996 he married Kim Ratliff.

He is survived by his wife, Kim S. Murphy; daughters, Ashley and Kelsey; grandson Jayden and his loving dog Miley. Jason is also survived by his Grandmother Dottie Sevier; Sisters Stephanie Murphy and Amanda Mullins; Uncle Larry Irwin and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandparents.

Jason was a devoted husband for 20 years and a wonderful father and grandfather.  He will be remembered for his love and humor.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. - until time of memorial services (7 p.m.), Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 with Pastor Mike Botts officiating. Immediately following formal services, Jason's wishes were to have a gathering of family and friends at Lug Nutz Bar & Grill for further sharing of memories of his life.
