Zella, age 87,  of Fairfield passed away peacefully on October 28, 2019 at Hospice of Cincinnati.

Zella was born on August 6, 1932 to the late General Grant and Eva Bond in Mount Vernon, Kentucky.  She met John L. Saxton in Hamilton, Ohio and they wed in 1952, going on to have three children; JoAnn, John and William.  In addition to raising a family, Zella enjoyed a long-time career at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Fairfield.

Zella is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Jean Scarth and a brother Earl Bond.  She is survived by her sister, Pearl Dungan; her three children JoAnn (Nelson) Huff, John (Donna) Saxton, and William (Courtney) Saxton; and her seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Toni, Raina, Amanda, Chrissy, Tyler and Conner; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2019 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, 45014.  Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Dunlap officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
