Mary Jane (Fangman) Bailey

Mary Jane (nee Fangman), age 91, passed away on February 22, 2016 at her home in Batesville, IN. She was formerly a resident of Fairfield for many years. Mary Jane was married for 71 years to her loving husband, Donald H. Bailey. Together they started the Mister Softee business in Hamilton and Fairfield. She was a founding member of Sacred Heart Church, active in the League of Women Voters, and Scouting for many years. Mary Jane travelled to 48 of the states, was a wonderful cook and housekeeper, and enjoyed playing Bridge. She was a volunteer at Goodwill and Hamilton Senior Center preparing tax forms. Mary Jane is survived by her husband, Donald; loving children, Donna Bailey, Mary Jo (John) Marsh, Glenn (LaVeda) Bailey, and Dale Bailey; sister, Kate Volmer; brother, Paul Fangman; sister in law Peggy Armold. She was proud of her 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mary Jane will be greatly missed by her many friends and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert, Larry, Jack, and infant Patrick; sisters in law, Nay Ova, Lil and Janice Fangman; sister and brother in law, Dolly and Charlie Osner; sister in law, Midge Bailey; brother in law, Rex Armold. Visitation will be Thursday February 25, 2016 from 9:30 until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014.
