Ralph E. Jones

Ralph Edward Jones, age 54 of Hamilton passed away Monday September 12, 2005 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born February 20, 1951 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Doc and Essie (Banks) Jones. Ralph served his country in United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, Ralph attended Coyne Institute of Technology where he received his certification of Electrical Engineering. He also had various hobbies, such as mechanics, plumbing, and computer programming. In 1978 he married Jerlean Thomas in Chicago, IL. Ralph was baptized at Stone Temple Baptist Church and later became a member of Progressive Church of God in Christ.
Ralph leaves to mourn, his wife of 27 years, Jerlean Jones; mother, Essie Mae Cathey of Dolton, IL; children, Valencia Stewart of Chicago, IL, Debra Lane of Bloomingdale, IL, Dennetrice Lane of Willowbrook, IL, Patricia ( DeAndre) Patterson of Bolingbrook, IL, and Anthony (Joella) Lane of Maryland; sister, Barbara (Samuel) Swopes of Richton Park, IL; brother Curtis Jones of Chicago, IL; 8 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He preceded in death by his father; and sister, Brenda Jones.
