Robert H. Burger January 17, 1930 ~ April 28, 2023 Robert H. Burger (93) of Fairfield, Ohio passed into heaven on April 28, 2023. Bob was the eighth child of Frank and Mary (Kern) Burger born January 17, 1930 in Cincinnati. He was known as a faithful child of God living his life that reflected his integrity, service, generosity, and his love for others. He will be remembered also for his perpetual smile. Bob served in the Army in Korea during the Korean War 1951-1953. Bob was married to his beloved Pamela (McLain) Burger in 1953 and enjoyed 13 years of marriage before her death. He and Carolyn (Brewer) Burger shared 55 years of a blessed marriage. Bob and friends provided weekly worship services at the TriCounty Nursing Home for many years until Covid occurred. His delivery of sermons was passionate revealing the nature of God and His desire for fellowship with each of us. Bob read through the Bible at least twice and studied to learn Truth. He knew Jesus as His Savior. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela, his parents, brothers and their spouses Charles (Virginia), Richard (Edith), Thomas (Bertie), John (Dorothy) and William, sisters and their spouses Virginia (Ladd) Stickney, Ruth Livingood (Clifford), and Shirley (Robert) Burton, and a grandson Anthony Burger. Bob is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Carolyn, children Debra (Steve) Colyer, Robert J. Burger, Donald ( Catherine) Burger, Jana (Bryan) Dorst, Frank (Jennifer Ruby-Burger) Burger, Leah (Brandon) Combs, and Erica (Melissa) Christy, adoring grandchildren Lisa (Aaron) Pickard, Drew Colyer, Matthew (Destini) Burger, Vanessa (Timothy) Simonton, Marlene (Andy) Porter, Christian and Emily Burger, Corinne and Alec Dorst, Zoey and Nathan Burger, Ava, Sophia, Griffin, and Olivia Combs, and Jeremiah Wilson, cherished great-grandchildren Liam and Piper Pickard, Mya Ramirez, Tristan and Brayton Porter, his sister Dorothy (late Jak) Smith, and special friends Willard Nachtman, Paul Fontaine, and Chester Fields (The Skyline Four). Also survived by dear brothers-in-law Virgil (Tamera Burian) Brewer, Everett (Bonnie) Brewer, Richard (Helen) Brewer and dear sisters-in-law Betty McLain (Stewart) Himes, Ann McLain McKee, Ruth McLain Leazer, Marilyn Brewer Bennett and many precious nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be May 6, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Celebration of Life Service with Everett Brewer and Brian Schreiber will be at 2:00 pm. Visitation and service both will be at the Fairfield Church of Christ. Burial with military honors will be private. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Fairfield Church of Christ, 745 Symmes Road, Fairfield, OH 45014.
