Rudolf "Rudy" Hugo Gresser

GRESSER

Rudolf Hugo – age 91 of Cincinnati, OH passed away on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. It was his favorite day of the year.   He was born April 7, 1924 in Schernberg, Germany to the late Karl and Minna Gresser (nee Moeller).  On August 21, 1948 in Bremen, Germany he married his wife Christel Gresser (nee Tietz). They immigrated to the United States in June of 1951, became citizens, and have lived in the Cincinnati area since then.  Rudolf was a sign painter for Dietrich Signs and later became owner until he retired.  He specialized in the art of gold leaf. He was a member of Dayspring Church of God.  He is survived by his wife Christel; his children York (Kathy) Gresser, Monica (Robert) Voss, Carmen Gunn, Iris (Dennis) Rasp and Scott (Marlene) Gresser; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; also survived by numerous family and friends.  A memorial service will be held at the Dayspring Church of God, 1060 Smiley Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45242 on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm with visitation from 11:30am until time of service.  Pastor Ron Mitchell officiating. There will be a repass meal afterwards for all family, friends and neighbors. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Liberty Corner Missions, P.O. Box 204, Liberty Corner, NJ, 07938-0204 (in memory of Rudolf Gresser).
