Alan W. Jamison

Alan W. Jamison, age 56, of Fairfield Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on August 9, 1948, the son of William B. and Anna (Mertz) Jamison. On July 11, 1970 he married Jennifer Harris. Alan was a gifted educator with Cincinnati Public Schools for 19 years. While there he taught math, science and physical education. He truly enjoyed playing the banjo and was a talented luthier. In 1993 he received a double-lung transplant.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; sons, Kyle (Heather) and Kevin (Stephanie) Jamison; grandson, Blake Alan Jamison; brothers, Joseph and John Jamison and sister; Lisa Laspas. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 3 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Visitation will start at 2 p.m. on Saturday until the time of service with Rick Segal officiating.
