Albert Allen Miller

Albert Allen Miller, aged 98, passed from this earth at 3:03 a.m. on May 4, 2018. He was a blessing to all who knew him. A proud father of six children, 12 grand children and 15 great-grandchildren whom he loved to rock and cuddle; each child had a special place in his heart. His time in Florida was very special to him, spending the past 36 winters enjoying the sunshine, fishing and many dear friends. He was always working and moving, never still. After retiring from The Hamilton Tool Co., he worked at R.A. Miller Construction until the age of 89 but continued to garden and mow two acres of grass until the age of 95 and continued to smash pop cans with his trusty sledge hammer until last fall. He dearly loved his faithful dog, Mazee, who was always by his side. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge.

Albert was the son of Albert W. and Ellen (Nogle) Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Drake) Miller. They were married on October 5, 1940 and were married nearly 60 years when she passed in 2000. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Neal and Ronald. He is survived by all six children: Robert (Judith), Neal (Kathy), Jerry (Judy), Larry (Susan) Miller and Nancy (Bob) Miracle and Donna (Kurt) Schuler and his sister Faye Muddell.

Funeral service will be led by Father Larry Yanca (VITAS hospice chaplain) Thursday, May 10th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 4601 Fairfield Ave, Fairfield 45014. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 9th 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield 45014.
