Alfred Jerome Schnapp

Alfred J Schnapp, age 88, of Fairfield passed away on Friday May 8, 2026, at Westover Retirement Community. He was born in Hamilton on March 14, 1938, to the late Jerome and Catherine Schnapp.

On May 4, 1957 he married his beloved wife, Mary Jo Rickert, she preceded him in death. Al is survived by his loving children, Jerry (Kathleen) Schnapp, Karen (Robert) Menkhaus, Stephanie Hall, and Steve (Kathleen) Schnapp; grandchildren, Karli Jo, Luke, Misty, Jonathan, Erin, Katie, Shane, and Heather; 27 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Catherine (Lafayette) Schnapp, infant son, Timothy F. Schnapp, grandson Jacob Schnapp, brothers John, Peter, Philip, Jerry and sister Barbara Schnapp.

Al is a proud veteran of the US Air Force.

Funeral mass will be held Wednesday May 27, 2026, at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield Oh., 45014. A celebration of life will follow. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.avancefuneralhome.com
