JACOBY, Alice Lynne

Age 60, beloved wife and mother, passed quietly into the night on April 1, 2008 following a valiant fight with esophageal cancer.

Born December 19, 1947 in Hamilton, OH to the late Robert and Mary Ann (Downie) Weaver. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1965. She attended Miami University before going to work for General Electric. She was married to James R Jacoby Sr. on July 17, 1971 at Miami Sesquecentenial Chapel.

Mrs. Jacoby was active with ARC, Butler County MRDD, and PTA. A stay at home mother for years, she re-entered the workplace at Workflowone. She was a member of the Fairfield CERT Team.

Alice is survived by her loving husband, James R Jacoby Sr.; son, James R. Jacoby Jr; daughter, Melissa Jacoby; two sisters and brothers, Rosemary (Chuck) Topie, Patricia (Paul) Ciccotelli, Michael Weaver M.D., Robert (Terri) Weaver; one sister in law, Sandra Jacoby; aunts, Janet Thompson, Alberta (John) Weaver, Patricia Downie; uncles, David (Anne) Weaver D.D.S., Richard (Sandy) Downie; her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Alice wanted to thank her coworkers at Workflowone, and dearest friends too numerous to mention, who were of special help to her during her illness. The family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and staff at Oncology Hematology Care for their kindness and grace.

Family will be granting visitation from 11:30 until time of service (1 pm) April 4, 2008, at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield. Father Larry Tharp of Sacred Heart will be conducting the services. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in her name sent to the American Cancer Society.
