Age 73 of Hamilton passed suddenly in Boone Co., KY. She was born September 10, 1935 in Estill Co., KY, the daughter of Amos and Stella (Puckett) Ashcraft. On August 21, 1955 Amy married Carl Dawes in Jeffersonville, IN. She was a member of the East River Road Baptist Church and the Fort Hamilton Chapter No. 568, Order of Eastern Star.
Amy leaves behind her loving husband, Carl Dawes; daughter, Vikki (Kent) Koroschetz; sisters, Betty Johnson. Glorine Dennis and Irene "Peanut" Napier; grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Ritzie, Brandy Ritzie and Joshua Ritzie; and great-granddaughter, Jasminn Ritzie. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed, Jess, and Roy Ashcraft; and sister, Eva Brinegar.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home with Order of Eastern Star Services beginning at 3:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the East River Road Baptist Church, River Rd. & Symmes Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014.
