Andrea E. (Tobinski) Bobowski

Andrea E. (nee Tobinski) Bobowski, age 82, of Fairfield, OH, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday August 3, 2025, at Majestic Care of Fairfield. She was born June 10, 1943, in Chicago, IL. A graduate of Loyola University Chicago and University of Toledo. She was an English teacher for many years in Toledo and Cincinnati, Ohio. Midlife she did a year of service in Seattle, Washington with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest working at Plymouth Housing. Thereafter, she devoted her time to administrative roles at Manor Care Nursing home, Fort Hamilton Hospital and retired from Christ Hospital. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church. She loved to read and spent time monthly at the library throughout her whole life.

Andrea is survived by her devoted children, Kristin Bobowski of Tampa, FL; Gregory (Janet) Bobowski of Fairfield, OH.; her cherished grandchildren, Andrew and Colin Bobowski. Foster son Alan (Debbie) Blus and their children Joseph and Jessica. Her sisters Monica (Tony) Spatafore; Chrysa (Ron) Gandy; Paula (Wayne) Spychala; cousins, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Evelyn Tobinski ; brother Daniel Tobin and his wife Marilyn. The family will hold a private funeral mass with final inurnment at Saint Adalbert Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums, Niles, Illinois. Memorial can be made to a charity of your choice, Vitas Healthcare Hospice or Heifer International, a charity Andrea supported annually with their Christmas gift catalog.
