GABBARD
Arkie, age 87, of Hamilton passed away on July 23, 2016. He was born on November 14, 1928 in Jackson County, Kentucky to Moss and Delta Gabbard.
Sixty- eight years ago on April 15, 1948, Arkie married Ethel Dougherty. Arkie is survived by his beloved wife Ethel; loving children, Larry (Donna) Gabbard, Arlene (Don) Marcum, Carol (Bob) McGee, Rhonda (Curt) Campbell, and Tom (Donna) Gabbard; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Fletcher Gabbard, Ovagene Gabbard, and Violet Kosten; nieces, nephews, and friends. Arkie is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Clyde Gabbard.
He was employed by Fisher Body as a crane operator until he retired in 1984. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
