Barbara J., age 66, of Hamilton passed away on May 29, 2016. Barbara was born on July 2, 1949 to Raymond and Gladys Pogue. She was the beloved wife of Johnie Pitman Sr. who preceded her in death in 2004. Barbara is survived by her loving son, Johnie Pitman Jr.; mother, Gladys Pogue; granddaughter, Brittany (Jared) Creech; great granddaughter, Braylee. She is also survived by her brother, Donald (Linda) Pogue; sister in law, Mary Horn; and her Fairfield Police Station family. Preceded in death by her father. Barbara was employed for 37 years as the facility manager for the Fairfield Police until her retirement in 2014. Visitation will be Thursday June 2, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., 45014. Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Rollins officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
