Bernetta Kay "Bernie" (Godbey) Mize

MIZE Bernetta Kay “Bernie”, age 64, of Fairfield passed away on August 3, 2015. She was born on July 22, 1951 in LaGrange, KY to William and Beulah Godbey. Bernie is the beloved wife of Gene Mize; devoted mother of Denni (Dani Morrison) Hale and Christi (Will) Hughes; loving grandmother of Austin Hale, Ivy Zola Morrison, Indigo Morrison-Dennis, and Iris Morrison. She is also survived by her sister, Rayetta Murphy; niece, Paige (Ken) Heitfield; and great nephews, Harrison and Van Heitfield. Bernie is preceded in death by her parents; niece, Jennifer Casey Murphy; and her mother in law, Ruby A. Mize. Visitation will be Thursday August 6, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with David Hargrave officiating. Burial will be private.
