Bertha Anastasia, age 101 passed away on May 4, 2012. She is the beloved wife of the late Omar Lee Poynter; devoted mother of Patricia A. Poynter and the late Charles and Norma Poynter; dear grandmother of Ronald (Debra) Neeley, Lisa (Tim) Gotham, Chris (Michele) Neeley, Eric (Amiee) Kay, Jeffrey (Donna) Poynter, and Jerrold (Tina) Poynter; great grandmother of Ron Jr., Melissa, Daniel, Nick, Sarah, Kara, Tim, Michael, Kristina, Tyler, Logan, Jennifer, and Tim; great great grandmother to Shawna, Seth, Noah, Jackson, Halie, Blake, Katelyn, Candice, Carolyn, Lana, Sophia, Serenity, Gavin, Nathaniel, Makayla and Lily. Bertha is also survived by her brother, Oscar Ridener, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

For over 30 years she resided in the Western Hills Covedale area of Cincinnati. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years; her son and daughter in law; 8 brothers and sisters. She retired from Proctor and Gamble after many years of employment. Bertha loved spending time with family and working in her flower garden.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 9, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Gardens Chapel, 2145 Compton Rd., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231.
