Betty Passmore

Betty Passmore, age 79 of Hamilton passed away Sunday, April 18, 2004 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born April 26, 1924 in Hamilton, the daughter of Asa and Ethel (Wear) Page. She was a member of the Fairfield Church of Christ, where she actively participated in the Keystones.

Betty was a fun-loving woman who never met a stranger. She had a sense of self-less service, and always was willing to help others. Whether she was picking up people who needed a ride to church on Sunday, or when she was traveling, she always made time to make it easier on those around her. Betty's caring and giving personality earned her many friends throughout her life, those who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her son Richard (Linda) Passmore, Sr.; daughter, Betty Lou Gilpin; foster son George (Claire) Campbell; grandchildren, William and John Passmore, Michael and Rick Gilpin, and Linda Sowards; great-grandchildren Joshua, Alicia, Chelsie and Tammy; and her church family.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2004 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Alan Weber and David Hargrave officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. The family will accept condolences at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
