Age 92 of Fairfield passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009. She was born September 17, 1916 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Frances and Verna (Neff) Marion. Betty married Dick Porter January 7, 1940, in Springfield, Ohio. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, preceding Judge for the Butler County Board of Elections, and a realtor with Carland Realty. Betty enjoyed gardening, traveling, and family throughout her long life.
Betty is survived by her husband, Charles R. "Dick" Porter; sons, Mark A. (Barb) Porter and Thomas D. (Blanche I.) Porter; son in law, William F. Yunker; grandchildren, Kristen and Lisa Yunker; and great grandchildren, Abdula, Elliot, and Haley. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon K. Yunker; brother, John T. Marion; and sister in law, Amy Marion.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made in Betty's name to a charity of your choice.
