Beverly S. Wolke (1949 – 2026)
After tenaciously fighting cancer for over a decade, Beverly S. Wolke passed away early Friday, January 2, 2026. She will be greatly missed by her “bro,” as she loved to call him, and sister-in-law, Roy & Karen Smith; her beloved little “rescue” dog, Abby, and two adored canine “nieces”…She will also be fondly remembered by nephew, Todd Smith; and nieces Tonya Tipton (Bobby), Tara Natale (Nate) and Kristen Williams (Bryan)….as well as her extended family of cousins and treasured friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Rosie Smith, and her grandparents. A lifelong resident of Hamilton and Fairfield, Bev loved working at Dollar Federal Bank for over 25 years – a position she eagerly attained through her high school’s co-op program – eventually branching out to “something new” at the Fairfield Speedway and Avon in Tri-County. As a kid, Bev enjoyed fishing trips up to White Lake in Michigan with her Smith grandparents, where she proudly learned to clean a crappie by the age of 8, and thoroughly loved boating and water skiing with her family on Indian Lake and The Little Miami! As an adult, Bev’s altruistic heart loved doing things for people, and even more, talking with people! She became an avid library book reader (especially Mysteries!), who was equally enamored with scary movies & TV shows and John Deere knick-knacks! She was a huge “Fiona Fan,” adored dogs of any size, shape or breed, and coveted cookouts serving juicy grilled burgers! Always patriotic, she loved going to AMVETS and supporting the Veterans - whether raising money on a motorcycle run, enjoying one of their pig roasts, or introducing someone to the delicious breakfasts cooked and served by all the men at the post! Always one to enjoy a meal out, Breakfast seemed to be her favorite – especially at Cracker Barrel and First Watch – and was ecstatic if it included anything pumpkin – especially pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin muffins and pumpkin lattes (coffee or chai tea) – though I think she would also tell you that dinner at Olive Garden ran a very close second – pumpkin, or not!! Godspeed, Bev – know that your family & friends love you, and we will hold you in our hearts ‘til we see you again… The family would like to thank Hospice of Cincinnati, and the staff at Tri-Health’s Good Samaritan Infusion Center, Bethesda Butler Campus in Hamilton for their care, kindness and compassion. Visitation will be on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 5:00pm until the time of service (6:00pm) at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, Ohio 45014, with Pastor Cecil Day officiating. A family burial will take place Tuesday morning, January 13 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hamilton.
