Brian Christopher Heath

November 17, 1973 — January 27, 2019

Brian Christopher Heath, 45, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away suddenly while enjoying snowboarding, which he loved, on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

Born November 17, 1973 in Oxford, Ohio he was the son of David and Evelyn “Jolene” (Williams) Heath. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Gloria and Stanley Heath and Adolphus and Veda Williams. He is survived by his devoted wife, Stephanie and their children: Brody and Sophie of Charlottesville, Virginia. Brother: Brent (Adria) Heath of Hamilton, Ohio, In-Laws: Greg and Karen Will of New Baltimore, Pennsylvania, Brother-In-Law: Greg (Becky) Will of Bel Air, Maryland and four nieces and one nephew.

He was a 1992 Graduate of Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Ohio. He attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Corrections and Juvenile Justice Services. He later attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he received his Master’s degree in Secondary School Counseling. While in this program he met his soul mate, Stephanie (Will). They married on May 22, 2004 in New Baltimore, Pennsylvania.

Brian worked as a school counselor for the last 15 years. For the past ten years he was employed at Albemarle High School, where his students gravitated towards him because of his caring nature and dedication to helping others.

Brian enjoyed the simpler things in life and was just a good ol’ boy. As an avid family man his children always came first; he loved them more than anything. He had an infectious smile especially while snowboarding (with family and friends), mountain biking with Brody, dancing with Sophie, hiking, kayaking, camping with his family, fishing, sampling new beers, enjoying black coffee, taking the first scoop of peanut butter from the jar, and just being outdoors. Brian grew up with a passion for baseball and was a true fan of the Cincinnati Reds. He was a believer of Sasquatch and had a fear of cows due to their “shifty” eyes. While he treasured quiet moments with his family he loved time with his friends and was there for everyone. He was the love of Stephanie’s life and found a way to make her laugh daily. He will be greatly missed.
