Bruce J. Armstrong

Bruce J. Armstrong age 79, passed away on Thursday May 14, 2026.

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 12, 1947, to the late Vernon and Helen Armstrong

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Donna Armstrong; son Scott Armstrong (Helen),

grandson Brandon Armstrong (Abby), granddaughter Olivia Armstrong, great grandson Cooper

Armstrong, Step-daughter Michele Horton (Allan), Step-grandsons Logan Horton (Gracie) and

Maximus Horton, and step-great-grandsons Lucas Horton and Walter Jack Horton, and sister in

law Darlene Samuelson (Don).

He graduated from Western Hills High School in 1965 where he was first chair cellist in the state

renowned orchestra. He attended the University of Cincinnati 1965-1969 where he majored in

Business Administration.

He loved life and had many interests. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed trail riding in

Jeeps and quads, boating and water sports. Music was an important part of his life.

He joined the Cincinnati Police Department on July 30 1972. He was assigned to the Intelligence

Section on October 27, 1985, where he spent most of his career. He worked with many law

enforcement agencies. Officer Armstrong was Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy-certified

instructor. He retired April 4, 2000 with 57 letters of commendations and/or

appreciation.

In retirement, he worked at Harley Davidson of Cincinnati.

Visitation at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 4601 Fairfield Ave. Fairfield, OH 45014 on June 6 at 10:00 A.M. and a service following at about

11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to Suncrest (Hospice) or Alzheimer’s
