Capt. Charles G. Dornhorst

DORNHORST, Captain Charles, G. H. beloved husband of his darling Patricia for 61 years, compassionate and devoted father of Sandra Victoria Zaus, Adrianne (Jack) Patricia Cornell, and Kip (Teresa) Dornhorst. Loving Bompie (grandfather) to Kimberly, Zach, Michael (Lori), Cherie (Eric), Pamela (Darren), Christian, and Clayton, and loving great-grandfather to precious Jackson. He served in the Royal Merchant Navy, and was Captain of the Queen of Bermuda and the S.S. Ocean Monarch. Then, he was with Mosler Safe Company from which he retired in 1977. After leaving Mosler, he served as a consultant for Fuji-Seiko Safe Company, and lived in Tokyo, Japan for four years which he then returned to the States. For many years of his retirement, he provided slide shows to Cincinnati area retirement and nursing homes. Friday, January 28, 2005, age 88, resident of Fairfield, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield on Saturday, January 29, 2005. Visitation begins at 3 P.M with the service beginning at 4 P.M.
