DAWES, Carl J.
Age 84 of Hamilton, OH passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born August 28, 1930 in Irvin, KY, the son of John and Addie (Edmonson) Dawes. On August 21, 1955 Carl married Amy Ashcraft in Jeffersonville, IN. He was a Veteran of the US Army and a member of East River Road Baptist Church, and Washington Lodge #17, F.&A.M.
Carl leaves behind his daughter, Vikki (Kent) Koroschetz of Surprise, AZ; grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Ritzie of Hamilton, Joshua Ritzie of Fairfield, and Brandy Ritzie; great-granchildren, Jasmin Wison, and Amy Grace Schneider of Surprise, AZ; siblings, Sarah K. Dawes-Hymer of Richmond, KY and Bill Lee (Violet) of Irvine, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife; and sisters, Nanny Elizabeth Dawes and Grace Dawes-Cox.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with Masonic services beginning at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to East River Road Baptist church.
