Carl Louis Vining

Carl L. Vining, age 93, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Hospice of Hamilton.   He was born September 4, 1920 in Wheaton, IL to the late Warren and Elizabeth Vining.  Carl was a Navy Pilot Veteran serving during WWII.  After his time in the service, he married his wife Astrid Vining (nee Strom) in 1945.  Carl was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenhills.

Carl is survived by his wife Astrid; his children Richard (Cynthia) Vining and Holly (Michael) Johnson; his sister Elizabeth McCarthy; his grandchildren Rex Vining, Jonathon Owens, Morgan (Anthony) Davis, Alec Johnson, Carly Johnson, Grace Johnson and great grandchild Kage Davis;  Carl was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Warren C. Vining II.  A graveside burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mt. Healthy.  In addition, a Memorial service will be held August 23, 2014 at 1030 AM at the First Baptist Church of Greenhills, 11195 Winton Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45218.
