MEYER

Carol J., age 81 of Fairfield passed away on May 21, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He is the devoted husband of Ann (nee Clevenger); loving father of Joette (Ken) Haydu, Carol J. Meyer, Jr., Melissa (Martin) Ely and Robyn (Andy) Gardner; proud grandpa of 8 grandchildren, Julian And Kristen Haydu, Vincent, David and Ellie Gardner, Matthew Ely, Rebecca Hendrickson and Madalyn Ely; brother of Mildred Breitenstein, Raymond (Janet) Meyer, and Jerry (Betty) Meyer; uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a dear friend to many. Carol retired as a machinist from Procter & Gamble in July 1992 after 26 years and is a veteran of the Korean War. His smiles, stories and love will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Monday May 27, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Visitation will also be on Tuesday at St. Clement Parish, 4536 Vine St. St. Bernard, OH 45217 from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fred Link officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave. Hamilton, OH 45014.
