Catherine C. Kruger

Catherine C. "Boots" Abner - Kruger, age 79 of Lindenwald, died at her home on the morning of September 23, 2004 of natural causes. She was born March 23, 1925 in Covington, KY and also lived in Latonia and Park Hills, KY, before moving to her Lindenwald residence.

A beloved and active member of her community, she belonged to: The American Business Women's Association; The Telephone Pioneer's of America (Kilgour Chapter No. 3); The Republican Party; Order of Eastern Star Florence Chapter #559; and the Kentucky Colonel's. She was also an active member of The Keystones at the Fairfield Church of Christ.

She leaves behind a brother, William E. Bennett; sister Alberta E. Penick; daughters, Carol (Joe) Corrado, Judy Mills and Joan Hopper; son Ernie Abner; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Catherine was preceded in death by husbands, Ernie Abner and Gordon Kruger; and daughter Pauline Abner.

A Celebration Service will be 11:30 a.m., Monday September 27, 2004 at the Fairfield Church of Christ, 745 Symmes Rd., Fairfield. Visitation will also be Monday from 10 a.m. - until time of service at the church. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Highland Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Keystones, c/o Fairfield Church of Christ, 745 Symmes Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. The family will accept condolences at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
