Charles D. Ervin passed away suddenly on December 28, 2021 at age 88 in Hamilton, Ohio. Charlie was born on December 12, 1933 in Winchester, Kentucky and attended New Miami School District. On November 20, 1952, in Liberty Indiana, he married Dorothy (Perpingon) Ervin. Charlie retired as a 40 year dedicated employee at Armco Steel in New Miami, as a Blast Furnace Foreman. He later went on to work at Auto Zone for about 12 years. Charlie enjoyed working and helping others, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family and friends. Charlie is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Collins of Hamilton; brother John (Glenn) Ervin; grandson Chris (Tamara) Clemmons; granddaughter Lindsay (Joe) Hauser; granddaughter Natalie (Brian) Collins-Harmon; granddaughter Savannah Ervin; grandson Alex Ervin; his nine great grandchildren, Gabriel, Beckett, Spencer, Aubrey, Matthew, Cora, Declan, Nathan, and Braxton; and many other loving friends and family members. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Hazel Ervin; loving wife Dorothy (Perpingon) Ervin; daughter Linda (Ervin) Clemmons; son Charles M. Ervin; brother Samuel Ervin; brother Thomas Ervin; brother Ronald Ervin; and Sylvia (Ervin) Gleason. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. Visitation is Tuesday, January 4 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Avance Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fairfield Community Foundation Scholarship Fund in Charles D.
