Charles "Charlie" Wayne, age 77 of Hamilton, passed away on March 7, 2012 at Hospice of Hamilton. Charlie is the beloved husband of the late Claudia (nee Hollbrook) Payne; dear father of David (Libby) Payne, Mike (Linda)Payne, Linda Baker, Sheryl Drew, Ben Day, Robert (Shelly) Payne, and Mark (Cindy) Payne; devoted grandfather of Jason Strickler, Jesse Paynes, Jerri Williams, Carlos Cabrera, Sunny Cabrera, Brian Baker, Michael Payne, Amy Jo Payne, Meranda Payne, Kathlyn Burns, Johnathon Sherman, Jordan Day, Danielle Blower, Melanie Payne, Austin Bartlett, Bobby Payne, Charlie Payne, Alex Payne, Ashley Booth, Travis Hawkins, and Andy Hawkins; great grandfather of Kyle, Tristen, Trinity, Trew, Kaelynn, Kenzie, Kyler, Thomas, Donavan, Kirabella, Gwen, Tyler, Joseph, Olivia, Jet Charles, and Dustiana.
Also survived by his sisters, Jesse Tarter, Fern Little, Patsy Delay, Delores Rainwater, and Diana Williams and the late Donna Arling.
Visitation will be Tuesday March, 13, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park with full military honors.
