Charles "Chuck" Everett Johnson

Charles E. “Chuck” Johnson – age 81 of Fairfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.  He was born February 5, 1941 in San Luis Obispo, California to the late Everett and Shirley Johnson (nee Bayne).  Charles served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  On September 19, 1970 in Park Hills, Kentucky he married Maryjo Johnson (nee Thompson) who preceded him in death in 2019.  Charles worked as an Actuary for Ohio National Financial Services.  Charles is survived by his children Noel (Denise) Johnson, Laura (Ernie) Byrd, Curry (Jim) Smith and Seth Johnson; sister Janice (Larry Della Bitta) Jonsin; grandchildren Avery Smith and Mason, Henry, Charlotte, Zoey and Willow Johnson; also survived by numerous family and friends. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Johnson, and a nephew, John Jonsin.  Charles was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Society of Actuaries.  Visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 1130AM until time of service (1230PM) at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, 45014 with Pastor Brian Ferguson officiating.  Burial to immediately follow service at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.  Memorial gifts in Chuck’s honor can be mailed to First Lutheran Church 1208 Race Street Cincinnati OH 45202 or online at firstlutherancincy.org/donate.  Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.avancefuneralhome.com
