Of Fairfield passed away January 25, 2013 at his home with family by his side. He was born in East Bernstandt, KY. On February 25, 1956 Charles married Shirley Bumps in Liberty, IN. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Air Force and later was the Owner and Operator of Charles R. Combs Trucking, Inc. for many years until his retirement. Charles's memberships included: Masonic Lodge of F. & A.M.; Scottish Rite; and Shriners.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Shirley Combs; daughters, Rhoda Combs and Chrystal (Terry) Hershner; grandsons, Joshua and Adam Morgan; and great-grandchildren, Noah and Levi Morgan.
At Mr. Combs' request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. The Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield is serving the family.
