Chris Johnson, age 84 of Fairfield, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013. He was born March 30, 1929 in Hamilton to the late Wright and Nellie Johnson. On July 22, 1950 in Millville, Ohio he married his wife Mary Ann Johnson (nee Meyers) to whom he was married to for over 60 years. Chris retired in 1989 from Sears as a retail sales department manager. Chris was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the Hugh L. Bates Lodge # 686 F&AM, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton.
Chris is survived by his daughter Barbara (Michael) Bell; his brother Wright (Ginny) Johnson Jr.; his sisters Ella Perkins and Mary Johnson; his grandsons Aaron Bell and Jeremy Bell; also survived by numerous friends, family, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister Mollie Johnson, and an infant son Michael Johnson.
Visitation will be held at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. in Fairfield, 45014 on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 11-12 PM with service immediately following.
