Chris Witt

Age 79 of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born July 26, 1927 in Richmond, KY, the son of Melvin and Mattie (Sourers) Witt. On May 29, 1971 he married Connie Nelson in Newport, KY. She later preceded him in death, August 7, 1994. On March 16, 1996 he married Carol Schmidt in Fairfield. Mr. Witt served his country during WWII in the Army and the Navy.
Chris is survived by his wife, Carol Schmidt Witt; sons, Douglas (Kathy) Yelton and Joe (Beth) Dearwester; daughters, Malinda Joy (Arthur) Winans, Heidi Holland and Lori (Steve) Ervin; sisters, Dorothy Hallbauer and Helen Roundtree; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie Witt; daughter, Emma Schueler; and 3 brothers.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of service (11:30 a.m.), Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Don Ruby officiating.
