Christine (Wagner) Hacker

Christine Hacker – age 80 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021.  She was born February 14, 1941, in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Paul and Jeannette Wagner (nee Sechrist).   On July 20, 1963, in Chagrin Falls she married Saul Hacker who preceded her in death in 2015.  Christine is survived by her children Douglas Hacker, Warren Hacker and Molly Hacker; brother Sterling (Nora) Wagner; grandchildren Alexis, Drew, Christine, and Sean; also survived by numerous family and friends.

Christine was a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Nursing and she enjoyed returning to Columbus every fall to root on the Buckeye football team. She was a strong advocate for children’s mental health and worked for many years at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and in Butler County on various mental health initiatives.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 4-6PM with funeral service Thursday morning at 11AM at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, 45014.  Pastor Cecil Day officiating.  Burial to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Cincinnati.  Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.avancefuneralhome.com
