Christy J. age 68 of Fairfield, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Mercy Fairfield. She was born on February 19, 1945 in Alliance, OH to Paul and Reinette (nee Brady) Calabria. On April 8, 1968 she married Ronald Puska her beloved husband who survives her. Christy is also survived by her dog children, Daisy and Buddy; sisters, Paulette Gansel, Rosalie (Jay) Morris, Marta (Lew) Hollinger, Noreen Cress, Marianne (Brian) Halcomb, R. Erin (Ed) Sopiarz; brothers and sisters in law, Mary (Stanley) Smith, Helen (Donald) McCreadie, Donald (MaryLou) Puska, John (Charlotte) Puska, James (Gloria) Puska, and Tom (Becky) Puska; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Christy worked for the Fairfield City Schools at the high school for many years and she also worked at General Electric until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents; nephew Chris Hollinger; great niece Aubrey Trautman; and these loving animals, who met her at the Rainbow Bridge, Maggie, Max, Meghan, Beau, Gigi, Sandy, Spike and Babe.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Memorial contributions may be given to the Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, OH 45011
